At TTUHSC, students are always finding ways to make sure the future of healthcare is a better and brighter place for patients and the community. This outlook and philosophy is seen on a daily basis through the hard and dedicated work done by each student in every lab, classroom, and hospital throughout Lubbock. TTUHSC and its students take pride in their West Texas culture and family so much so that there is always some charity or outreach program being created or run to make Lubbock a healthier, safer, happier place. The Texas Medical Association (TMA) and American Medical Association (AMA) are two organizations that feel that these endeavors not only should succeed and be expanded upon but should also be rewarded.
With the students being as dedicated as they are for Lubbock and the surrounding areas, TMA/AMA wants to thank the students through a night of relaxation, silliness, and socializing with their interprofessional peers all while raising money for some important causes in need of some attention, like so many others. The Masquerade Promenade will be a masquerade dinner and dance with all proceeds staying in Lubbock to benefit our neighbors in need. The three charities benefiting from our event will be the Testicular Cancer Foundation, the Laura W. Bush Institute of Women’s Health, and the SaveMyHeart Challenge.
